Amaterasu WIP in SAI

So SAI is seemingly uber-popular right now and I was curious to see what all the fuss is about. Grabbed the trial and tried painting Amaterasu... over and over again.

Left-most was the first, and was done without any presketching; just globbing on the paint to think about color. After that, I derived a new sketch from it, made some changes and started painting the middle one. I really didn't like how the roundness of the face was making her look more like Chibiterasu here. So I went back to my sketch and refined it some more. This resulted in the right-most version. I don't like what happened with her mouth; I'd like to open it back up again (not smiley like in the first, though). I don't like the solar flare in any of them; I'm thinking the flames shouldn't look so solid...
